Golden Beaches, Team Building Escapades

Race Around the Gold Coast, in conjunction with team dynamic training, has the adventure and excitement of the TV show along with strong team growth components.

The experience begins with a fun brainteaser that helps spread the teams’ departure times by a few minutes. Once the race starts, each team can use taxis, rental cars, buses, bikes or whatever other mode of transportation they choose, to race around the city. One rule: they must always stay together as a team.

Teams navigate their way to check points utilizing their combined wits, acquired maps, clues and or their ability to obtain accurate directions. After they complete the first checkpoint challenge, they move on to the next challenge.

This process continues as they race across the Gold Coast trying to become the first team to cross the finish line.

At each checkpoint, the teams will need to complete a challenge or solve a creative problem. These include a variety of ego buster or physical style challenges.

Some challenges include:

Collect signatures via a fictitious political march in the Broadbeach mall area to ‘Resume sand mining on Surfers Paradise beach’.

In Cavill Mall, teams may need to compete in a karaoke contest in front of bemused tourists.

On Main Beach, teams might have to piece together a tower that when constructed correctly, will sight the location of a secret bonus item (a la Raiders of the Lost Ark) and then they will have to retrieve it.

In Surfers Paradise teams might have to complete a rocket bungee, or a game of putt putt golf to locate clues hidden on the premises.

At Southport, teams may have to put on a busking street performance to raise money in order to move on in the race.

Teams may travel by Aqua Duck and rescue a map from the Nerang River, then must SMS their location to the race coordinator to receive further clues.

The casinos Black Jack tables are next on the teams agenda as they must try to double the money in their budget in order to purchase a taxi ride back to the finish line in the fastest possible way (as opposed to catching the more economical public bus).

This high energy activity will ensure your team has a fun, thought provoking and team bonding event.

Race Around the Gold Coast provides a sense of unity and a shared achievement. It's amazing. This concept can be designed and conducted to suit everything from an explosive team based fun experience to one that mirrors work place issues and themes.
